Is Cookie Monster The New Diet Guru?

Okay, put down whatever you are doing and click the play icon above. It may be the most important message you will get all year in terms of weight loss.

Cookie Monster has covered Icona Pop’s ‘I Love It’  and renamed it ‘Me Want It’ in an ode to delayed self gratification and I believe he is on his way to diet greatness. Okay, so the fur doesn’t exactly instill the image of honed abdominal perfection that we’re used to in our gurus, but maybe he’s the start of a new movement of realistic body shapes we can aspire to. The fact is, it works on so many levels…

1) It gives us a message to live by; yes you want the cookie, but you wait and you hope the urge passes

2) It’s distracting – and the average craving does pass if you take your mind off

3) It’ll cheer you right up – if you eat because you’re fed up I defy you not to smile at least once watching this. The raving penguin has had me stitches all morning.

Oh, who am I kidding with the serious stuff – this is brilliant; watch it now and next time you feel yourself heading to the fridge repeat after Cookie ….’Me want it – but me wait’
